I don’t know about you, but I have family members who voted for Trump.
Actually, I don’t know this for sure, because we don’t talk about politics. We have learned, over the years, that politics, religion — any subject that could cause a fight — is pretty much off limits. I love my family. Some of them I had not seen in over a decade until two months ago when my sister got married. She invited everyone, on both sides of the family, and pretty much everyone who was healthy enough to travel showed up. Read more. The Rev. Actually, your choice was right. In family, we don’t need to fight or discuss things that could trigger everyone. Might as well avoid talking about the topics that will not bring joy to everybody! It seems like you have a very complex family members which are truly separated by their beliefs and attitude. That’s not a new story anymore since people have always been different. What a family should discuss are the topics that could bring them growth and love that they can have for each other, isn’ it?
